In accordance with this recognition, a Certificate of Compliance has been issued. The certificate is stored under UL file reference number E214574. This certificate states that these heater types have been investigated in accordance with the requirements of a particular Standard for Safety, that Standard being UL 499 - Electric Heating Appliances. As a means of identifying products that have been produced under UL's Component Recognition Program, UL's Recognized Component Mark (known as a backward RU) may be used in conjunction with the other required markings (voltage, wattage, etc). The appearance of this mark is as follows as in the image above.

Only those components bearing the UL Recognized Component Marking should be considered as being covered by UL's Recognition and Follow-Up Service. It is important to note that the UL mark relates only to the ceramic heating element and not to the assembly that the element is built into.

CE mark

CEIn return for fulfilling the CE marking requirements, Ceramicx Ireland Ltd. or its agent may cover the entire European market using only one approval procedure for the topics covered in the directives.

The attachment of the CE mark to our products is based on a formal compliance statement which takes the form of a Declaration of Conformity. The Declaration of Conformity is a "self-declaration" statement which contains such matters as who the manufacturer is, what directives are involved, and what standards are applicable.
Its main purpose is to show proof of liability for compliance with EU regulations involved to the authorities and customs.
